What is the purpose of the Tobacco-Free Zone online store?

The Tobacco-Free Zone was designed to provide HWTF grantees with easy access to pre-approved, quality promotional items to help promote the TRU, QuitlineNC and Tobacco-Free Colleges initiatives in their local areas.

Why can’t I go to my local vendors and have them design my own TRU, Quitline or TFC items?

You can. However, the merchandise offered on the TFZ online store has been pre-approved by HWTF. The logos and placement of logos, messaging and artwork are designed in accordance with HWTF guidelines. Also, purchasing through the online store saves you the time and energy of coordinating with a local vendor.

How were the items for the online store selected?

These items were selected especially for each department of the online store based on conversations with stakeholders, grantees and youth. Your continued feedback is appreciated.

How are the items priced?

After listening to your feedback, we’ve made every effort to lower prices throughout the online store as much as possible. By being attentive to the quality of items we sell and the print areas on items, we were able to cut costs and pass along the cost savings directly to you.

As with any merchandise, the larger the quantity ordered, the lower the price. Remember: ordering fewer items will result in a higher per-item cost.

What is bundling, and how can I take part in it?

Bundling is a great way to save you money by combining your orders with other grantees. By bundling orders, you and your fellow grantees will experience the cost savings of ordering at higher quantity levels.

Bundling is also a good solution to meet a minimum quantity order. So, if you only need 100 stadium cups, and the minimum order is 250, bundle with another grantee who needs 200 to meet the minimum quantity.

At checkout, you will be able to enter any quantity of an item that you need. If your desired quantity does not meet the minimum requirement, you will be automatically directed to submit your contact information to be eligible for bundling.

If your request meets the minimum quantity, but you’re interested in bundling to save money, you will have the option to fill out your contact information and submit your request to be paired with another grantee.

Once your request is submitted, we will send updates on the list serv announcing bundling requests. When we receive matches, we’ll pair you up. Requests will remain open to be bundled for 3 weeks. After this time, you will be contacted to finalize your order.

What are sale items and how do sales work?

Periodically, certain items from the TRU, QuitlineNC and TFC stores are featured at a reduced rate. You can check out these featured items together on the specials page. To get there, click on the specials link on the navigation menu at the top of the Web site. Don’t forget to check back on a regular basis to see what new items are on sale!
